The Sculpture for this lovely Desk Lamp was created by the artist in wax. Molds taken from the carving are,
using the ancient lost-wax process, then cast, in either
Bronze or Sterling, at the studio of our Master Artisan, whose skilled castings of the works of eminent artists
are held in private collections and seen in museums and
galleries globally.
Footing the base are three tiny ball and claw feet. Holding the shade securely is a tiny star anise pod finial.
The gnarled old tree houses the fittings for the lights
while one of its branches supports the weight of the
rearing figure of the horse. An Arabian Horse
Medallion decorates two sides of the art glass shade
which is held in place by a ribbon of filigree. |
